Domain Names:
Pure Web Group will send you an email confirmation of your domain name. You will also be able to log into the PWG website and access all domain name registration information on the custom client portion of the website.
Although the information returned by a Whois search is only updated once or twice a day, domain names that have been purchased are essentially "locked" instantly so that they cannot accidentally be sold to two separate parties. In other words, even if somebody beat you to a domain name by just 1 second, you're out of luck - and in a day or so you'll be able to see their ownership details through the Whois tool.
You can use the characters a-z and 0-9 (in any combination). You can also use hyphens (-), although your domain name cannot start or end with a hyphen. You cannot use any other characters, nor should you use punctuation.
It's important to remember that a domain name is only "yours" for as long as you keep paying the renewal fee. If you keep a domain name for 5 years, you'll have to pay 5 separate fees. There are no hidden costs to owning a domain name.
Try and think of domain names associated with current or future growth areas, or topics that are always popular such as golf and finance. Think of domain names that specifically relate to YOUR industry or line of business. A good way to brainstorm is to sit down with a clean piece of paper, let your mind wander, and write down every idea you get as a result... sometimes you'll be pleasantly surprised at what your unconscious throws up!
Maintenance Plans:
Simply put: If you make any updates to the design of your site each month, a monthly maintenance package will save you money.
Typical design firms charge up to $100 an hour for design work. Should you ever need to create banners, product features, content pages, or simply update your design, you can expect to pay anywhere from $200 to $500 for a half-days work!
Pure Web Group can be your partner in success by routinely keeping your site fresh for a fixed cost. Never assume again! Always know what you will be paying for updates to your site, and get them on a recurring, planned schedule!
If you wish to enrol in a Monthly Maintenance package, you will receive your regular updates each month priority over non-maintenance clients. The cycle for recurring maintenance will happen during the first two weeks of every month. All maintenance contracts will receive their updates in a timely manner and coordinated through one point of contact at Pure Web Group just before work is to be done.
If you wish to enroll in our Monthly Maintenance program, monthly fees start at $50.00 per month and can be increased depending on the size and complexity of your website. This covers a designers time, once per month, to update your site per your program. No additional charges or hourly design fees will be required to maintain your site unless required. These fees are in addition to your hosting or additional design fees, however, and are recurring. A minimum of three (3) months must be agreed to for Monthly Maintenance packages.
